Accidental symmetries and the conformal bootstrap

abstract

I will talk about an application of the conformal bootstrap and supersymmetric localization techniques to argue that in certain Wess-Zumino models in 2+1 dimensions there is symmetry enhancement in the infrared. These models are generalizations of the critical O(N) vector model and have N=2 supersymmetry. They are interesting in that for small enough N there are no indications other than the conformal bootstrap that they should exhibit symmetry enhancement.
