Bundle deformations and supersymmetry breaking in two dimensions

abstract

This talk will be focused on two-dimensional gauge theories with (0,2) supersymmetry. Such theories are well known to have a rich parameter space and a correspondingly rich low-energy dynamics. While a lot has been learned about the local properties of this parameter space, its global structure has not been investigated in any great detail. This global structure will be the main subject of the talk. In a certain class of theories we will see that the global deformation space has a very explicit algebraic presentation, and the resulting space is well-behaved provided certain limiting points, where supersymmetry is spontaneously broken, are included.
