Quantum Quench and Holographic Critical Points
abstract
Quantum Quench deals with the dynamics of a system in the presence of a time dependent coupling. This is particularly interesting when the coupling passes through a critical phase transition, in which case one expects that the dynamics carries universal signatures of the critical point. In this talk I will discuss recent attempts to address this question in strongly coupled field theories using the holographic correspondence.
