Luttinger's theorem, superfluid vortices, and holography
abstract
A great deal of recent research has focused on holographic descriptions of finite-density states of matter. Such holographic phases can have unique properties do not fit easily into a conventional field-theoretical classification of possible states of matter. I will explain why and discuss field-theoretical observables that aim to sharpen this distinction.
